Want to work with an awesome team on an exciting next-gen AAA FPS?

Even in these uncertain times, the awesome talent at Just Won’t Die Games Studio is expanding! We’re looking for a highly-skilled, driven and technically-minded Community Manager to work on an exciting new and original IP for console, PC and mobile. You’ll play a fundamental role in our development process, working closely with art, design and programming teams to play test, destructively test and report issues clearly and accurately.

We need someone who’s a self-starter, capable of the technical elements of the role - the position requires strong attention to detail with a proven logical and methodical approach to problem-solving and testing.

The ideal candidate would have good industry knowledge and a passion for community management across various platforms. The position is in-house based in Cambridge, UK, but for the moment (at least) the whole team is working remotely.

Skills and Experience

responsibilities:

  • Execute the community strategy, with a strong focus on Reddit, Discord and social channels

  • Regularly engage directly as well as manage our community, and develop your own ideas on how to best approach the audience

  • Own community communications on all channels in line with the community strategy, and collaboration with the Brand.

  • Engage directly with our community leaders and build strong, positive relationships.

  • Provide community insights and understanding to help drive decision-making at JustWontDie

  • Regularly report on Community status to the wider company

  • Collaborate closely with all members of the team

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • We’re looking for someone who’s dynamic

  • An analytical mindset to build player understanding with a data drive approach

  • A keen understanding of player behaviour and willingness to learn

  • Excited by social media (Reddit, Discord, Twitter etc) gaming communities and the latest trends

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude.

  • You are exceptionally savvy and have the skills to develop strong relationships across a complex matrix of internal and external stakeholders

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing position with a Social Media focus

  • You are an organised, proven self-starter; able to initiate, prioritise and drive projects from inception, and development to execution and measurement.

  • Track record of working well within a team.

  • Previous experience in community management roles.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.

GREAT TO HAVE:

  • Experience working on First Person Shooter games.

  • Knowledge of JIRA.

  • A keen gamer with industry knowledge.

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • A highly positive and proactive work ethic

  • A team player but also with the ability to work alone.

  • Excellent communication when collaborating with others is required

  • A desire to learn and improve.
